- 40th anniversary
- Plan your trip
Special note: New legislation recently passed in North Carolina (House Bill 2) has raised some concerns about fair and equitable treatment of all people. Please read the full statement from the Executive Board. As reflected in our Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, the American Society of Biomechanics is committed to building a professional community that respects and promotes diversity and inclusion. The 2016 ASB annual conference host institution, city, meeting facilities, hotel, and area hospitality partners have all reiterated their respect and support for inclusion of ALL visitors that aligns with ASB’s mission. We look forward to a safe, welcoming, and productive meeting this summer.
In honor of ASB’s 40th anniversary, we are planning to showcase ASB’s history in a few ways during the meeting, and need your contributions of memories, and digital or physical photos and artifacts. Commemorative pullovers are also available for purchase during online registration. Learn more on the website and register by July 1 to ensure inclusion in the displays and to order pullovers.
The outreach lesson plan deadline is extended! We are calling on the ASB membership to submit lesson plans describing biomechanics demonstrations and lab activities for an outreach activity with local students at ASB40. Check out the full details on the application requirements and award program. Submissions are now due June 3.
