The opening reception will be held in the grand lobby and plaza of the Raleigh Convention Center. The outdoor plaza and indoor expansive lobby provides a view of downtown Raleigh that is flexible no matter the weather. The convention center is located adjacent to the hotel for easy access for all guests, including late arrivals to the conference. Located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, guests can easily explore any of the nearby restaurants and entertainment venues to continue their evening.
The conference banquet will be hosted at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. Our event will allow private access to the four floors of the Nature Research Center, including the SECU Daily Planet, a unique three-story HD theater. The museum is located in NC Museum Complex which also includes the NC Museum of History, and is less than a mile from the Convention Center for an easy walk; buses will also provide transportation.
The Centennial Campus of NCSU houses the College of Engineering, including many of the biomechanics labs. In addition, it is home to the beautiful Lake Raleigh and the new spectacular Hunt Library. We will provide bus transportation to tour several of the labs in the Biomedical Engineering Department and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department, as well as the Hunt Library.
5K fun run
